WEIRD ANCIENT TECHNOLOGY
If mankind has developed evolutionary, than that should also hold for the technological development. Simple objects and tools should precede more complex objects and tools. However, that isn't the reality..
In this book we’ll focus on 5000 years old hard stone vases from Egypt. Hard stone worked with soft tools, an absolute anomaly. Despite common believe, Pharao Djoser could not have fabricated them is the only valid conclusion.
In Greece one stumbles over evident remainders of sophisticated technique. Polygone stones, megalithic walls, pyramids, polished pebble walls, etc. Why was superior stone technique applied on apparently useless constructions? Who was involves in this and why were no houses, bridges and viaducts built with these advanced techniques? It must date from a time when the water in the Mediterranean sea stood at least two meters higher than today. Was Plato right when stating the Greeks were a great people long before the Egyptians came into the scene? Did the Egyptians learn the principle of pyramid construction from the Greeks?
